Seth Campbell serves as the Research Director and Director of Academics and Research at the Juneau Icefield Research Program since January 2018, overseeing a field training program for undergraduate and graduate students focused on various cryosphere-related topics. Since January 2015, Campbell has been an Associate Professor at the University of Maine's School of Earth & Climate Sciences and Climate Change Institute, conducting research and teaching courses in geophysics and glaciology, while also securing over $18 million in grants. Other roles include Research Geophysicist at the US Army Corps of Engineers, Research Associate at the University of Washington and UC Davis, and ownership of Alpine Sciences LLC. Campbell's teaching background extends to wilderness medical courses, and experiences as a climbing instructor.
