Mohan Lal

Mohan Lal is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in community engagement, project management, and education. Currently serving as a Community Engagement Advisor at the New Zealand Electoral Commission since May 2023, Mohan also holds various roles including Project Manager Team Lead at Stats NZ, Learning Delivery Adjunct at Open Polytechnic of New Zealand, Teacher at Literacy Aotearoa, and Educator in Health and Wellbeing at Solomon Group NZ. With a long-standing position as Regional Library Manager at Te Wananga o Aotearoa since March 2003, responsibilities include managing regional library operations and supervising staff. Mohan's career began as Director & Consultant at LIS Consultant and as Derrick Learning Support Manager at the Fiji Institute of Technology. Academically, Mohan holds a Master of Library & Information Science from the University of Canberra, a degree in Business Administration from Curtin University, a Bachelor of Commerce in Information Technology from the Asian Institute of Technology, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management and Public Administration from the University of the South Pacific.
