Tammy Sheffer has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Tammy began their career as a Sergeant in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) from 1992 to 1993. Following this, they worked as a Development Director at the Association of Americans and Canadians in Israel, where they organized fundraising events and managed a staff of 6 professionals.

In 2000, Sheffer joined OppenheimerFunds, initially as a Recruitment Specialist, where they recruited candidates for various positions and developed job descriptions. Tammy then became an HR RM Associate, working with the Technology and Finance Departments to create career-pathing tools and individual development plans. From 2005 to 2009, Sheffer held various roles within OppenheimerFunds' HR department, including VP of Human Resources RM for Investment & Risk Departments, SVP and Head of HR Relationship Management, and SVP, Chief of Staff, and Head of Corporate Communications. In these positions, they provided strategic HR support, led compensation decisions, and managed key initiatives impacting thousands of employees.

In 2018, Sheffer joined Rent The Runway as their Chief People Officer, overseeing people-related functions within the company. Most recently, they joined Solomon Partners in 2020 as their Chief Operating Officer. Overall, Sheffer has a proven track record of leadership and expertise in human resources and organizational development.

Tammy Sheffer obtained their Bachelor's degree in English Literature and History from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where they studied from 1995 to 1998. Tammy later pursued a Master's degree in Criminal Justice and Social Deviance at John Jay College (CUNY), completing their studies from 2002 to 2005.
