J. Darin Hansel, CISM

J. Darin Hansel, CISM has over 10 years of experience in the field of information security. From 2011 to 2013, they served as a Telecom Systems Engineer for the US Army Reserve 98th Expeditionary Signal Battalion, where they were responsible for the implementation, integration, and upgrade of networks to produce highly reliable systems. J. Darin then worked as a Telecom Systems Engineer for the USAR 200th Military Police Command from 2013 to 2017, where they provided oversight of all aspects of communications for over 15,000 personnel in seven organizations. From 2017 to 2019, they were the Cyber Operations Planner for the USAR Cyber Protection Brigade, where they were the Deputy Director of Operations for an organization consisting of over 400 cyber personnel. Currently, they are the Director of Information Security for SolonTek Corporation, where they direct the management and defense of secure and non-secure enterprise networks.

J. Darin Hansel, CISM obtained their Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification from ISACA in March 2020. J. Darin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems, General from Auburn University, and is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Cybersecurity from Webster University which they are expected to complete in 2021. J. Darin also holds certifications from IBM SkillsBuild, LinkedIn, CompTIA, and Cisco, including Project Management Fundamentals (2022), Translating Your Military Skills to Civilian Workplace (2022), Security+ CE (2013), and Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA) (2011).
