Caroline Håkansson

Caroline Payne currently serves as VP of Operations in Real Estate Investment Management at Fundrise, where involvement has included a prior role as Senior Director of Operations. Prior to joining Fundrise in March 2021, Caroline worked as a consultant on a contract basis from June 2018 to February 2021, providing market diligence for private equity clients focusing on software acquisitions. Earlier experience includes a position as Senior Consultant in Strategy and Operations at Deloitte from March 2017 to June 2018 and a decade of service as a Naval Aviator in the US Navy from December 2006 to December 2016. Caroline holds an MBA in General Management from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Peace, War, and Defense from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
