Karim Jabbar, PhD, has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and sectors. Karim is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of CarbonClear, where they have developed a new data-driven model for carbon credit issuance. Prior to this, Karim worked as an Adjunct Professor at the Copenhagen Business School and the University of Saint Joseph - Macao, teaching courses on subjects such as European business strategy, innovation and entrepreneurship, and tourism and hospitality. Karim also served as an Industrial PhD Fellow at the Department of Computer Science, University of Copenhagen, where they conducted research on the emergence and impact of blockchain technology. Karim has been actively involved in standardization efforts related to blockchain as a member of the Danish Standard Working Group on Blockchain. Earlier in their career, they founded Reflective Travel ApS, offering sustainable tours, and served as the Managing Director of Albatros Africa, overseeing operations in multiple African countries. Karim also gained international experience as a Young Expert at the European Commission's Benin Delegation, where they managed projects in private sector development and regional integration. Karim's expertise and experience encompass a wide range of subjects including carbon markets, blockchain technology, sustainable business practices, and tourism.

Karim Jabbar, PhD, holds a diverse education history that spans across various disciplines. In 1993, they began their academic journey at Copenhagen Business School, where they completed a Bachelor of Arts in International Business Administration and Modern Languages in 1998. Following this, they pursued further studies at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen, obtaining a Diploma in African Studies, specifically focusing on Private Sector Development and Trade between 1999 and 2000.

In 1999, Karim Jabbar joined Copenhagen Business School once again, this time to pursue a Master of Science in Economics, specializing in International Business and Development Studies, which they successfully completed in 2001.

Continuing their commitment to professional development, in 2012, Karim Jabbar attended UC Berkeley, where they completed an Executive Program in Innovation, focusing on Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Finally, Karim Jabbar embarked on the highest level of academic achievement by pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen. Karim dedicated five years to their doctoral studies, completing their PhD in 2020. Through their comprehensive education history, Karim Jabbar has acquired expertise in a wide range of fields, including International Business, Development Studies, African Studies, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and, most prominently, Computer Science.
