We offer a transparent and tamper-resitant software infrastructure, based on a distributed ledger system, on which off-grid solar providers (in the first instance) can monetize the CO2 emissions reductions created by their deployed solar systems. This infrastructure is robust and scalable and is designed to ultimately become the digital backbone onwhich all carbon projects in the voluntary carbon market, also beyond off-grid solar, can be rolled out. By integrating with Solstroem, solar providers can gain access to the carbon market in a simple and affordable way and generate an additional revenue stream by selling their generated carbon offsets. This additional revenue stream allows for (i) the deployment of more solar systems, (ii) an accelerated access to renewable energy in developing and emerging markets, and (iii) a tangible climate impact through increased displacement of CO2 emitting fossil fuels such as kerosene and diesel.
