Pablo Pajarón Santos

Structural Engineering Manager at Soltec Trackers

Pablo Pajarón Santos has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. Pablo started their career as a Trainee Researcher at Procter & Gamble, where they conducted a project focused on the filling process in Liquid Fabric Enhancer products. Pablo provided technical and theoretical support to optimize cycle time and fill rates through the analysis of flow responses.

Later, Pablo joined Fluid Codes FZ LLE as an ANSYS Application Engineer. In this role, they developed several Finite Element Method (FEM) projects for different companies in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Pablo'sresponsibilities included modeling, CAD design, and performing linear and nonlinear analyses.

Moving on, Pablo joined Soltec Trackers as a Mechanical and Simulation Engineer. Here, they worked on the calculation of metal structures and mechanisms using international regulations. Pablo also conducted technical control inspections in the field and participated in the development of improvements. Additionally, they served as a Technical Expertise Engineer, visiting clients in different countries such as Canada, Australia, and Italy. Pablo also contributed to research and development efforts, specifically in the area of FEM and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) for solar tracker calculation methods.

At Soltec Innovations, Pablo worked as an R&D Engineer and Project Manager for the development of new products and devices to improve Solar Trackers. Pablo also served as the technical coordinator for a CDTI project and provided technical advisory for Dy-Wind.

Most recently, Pablo held the position of Structural Engineering Manager at Soltec Trackers. In this role, they were the coordinator of the Engineering Structural Department and was responsible for over 10GW of calculated and signed PV projects. Pablo played a key role in the development of new standards and calculation methods, utilizing wind tunnel tests and state-of-the-art tools. Pablo focused on improving the design of solar trackers and ensuring compliance with international regulations for metal structures and mechanisms.

Pablo Pajarón Santos holds a Master's degree in Fundamentals and Application of Computational Fluid Dynamics from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, which they obtained from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they completed a Master's degree in Numerical Methods from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya from 2014 to 2016.

Pablo also has a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena, which they pursued from 2011 to 2014. Additionally, they hold a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering specialized in Mechanical, also from the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena, which they earned from 2006 to 2011.

In terms of certifications, Pablo obtained a Multiphysics Simulation Technical Certificate and a Structural Technical High Certification in ANSYS from ANSYS, Inc. in August 2016. Furthermore, they hold a certification in Structural Technical Certification in ANSYS from the same institution, although the month and year of obtaining this certification are unknown.
