Bernardo Lara

Bernardo Lara's work experience includes various roles in research, development, and quality control in the pharmaceutical and medical research fields. Bernardo worked as a Process Development Scientist at Solugen and VGXI, Inc. - GMP Plasmid DNA Manufacturing in 2023. Before that, they were an AD/PD Associate II and later a QC Analytical Specialist II at Catalent Pharma Solutions from 2021 to 2023. Prior to that, they were a Senior Research Assistant at MD Anderson Cancer Center from 2019 to 2021. Bernardo also served as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC San Diego from 2012 to 2018, focusing on stress-induced extracellular vesicles. Their early experience includes roles as a Laboratory Assistant at Millennium Laboratories in 2012, a Research Intern at Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute from 2010 to 2012, and a Research Assistant in Translational Research in Kidney Disease at UC San Diego in 2009.

Bernardo Lara began their education at UC San Diego in 2010, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. Bernardo completed this program in 2012. Continuing their studies, Bernardo Lara then enrolled in a Master of Science program in Biomedical Sciences, General at UC San Diego in 2012. Bernardo successfully completed this program in 2018.
