José Ramón Alegre

José Ramón Alegre Cabrelles is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the insurance industry. Currently serving as CEO of Solunion since January 2024, José Ramón previously held the role of CEO for the EMEA and Eurasia regions at MAPFRE from January 2021 to January 2024, overseeing significant market responsibilities across Asia and Europe. Prior to this, José Ramón was the CEO of Verti Versicherung AG and held multiple leadership positions at MAPFRE, including CEO of Direct Line Germany and COO of Direct Line Germany, focusing on key operational areas. José Ramón has also contributed to MAPFRE in various capacities, such as Sales/Marketing Director and Director, managing substantial budgets and sales networks in Spain and Florida. José Ramón holds a Graduate degree in Economics and Business Studies from the University of Valencia and has completed advanced management programs at IESE Business School and Fundación MAPFRE.
