Mikael Avery

VP, Design and Innovation at SOLUtion Medical

Mikael Avery has diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Mikael started their career in 2005 as a Project Manager at A. Nelessen Associates. In 2007, they worked as a Designer at Joseph M. Hyland, Architect. Mikael then joined Drexel University as an Adjunct Instructor in 2012 and later became a Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania in 2013. From 2014 to 2020, Mikael served as an Adjunct Faculty at Philadelphia University while also working as a founder/designer/fabricator at draft works, llc from 2011 to 2020. In 2017, they joined Penn Medicine Home Health as an Occupational Therapist. Mikael's most recent roles include serving as VP of Design and Innovation at SOLUtion Medical since 2021 and founding studio krea in 2021.

Mikael Avery completed a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from Rutgers University, from 2000 to 2005. Later, from 2008 to 2011, they pursued a Master of Architecture (MArch) degree in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. Continuing their education, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Occupational Therapy/Therapist from Jefferson Health, studying from 2014 to 2016. Additionally, Mikael holds a certification as an OTR from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
