Faisal Abdul Gaffoor

Faisal Abdul Gaffoor has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of cloud and data center architecture. Faisal started their career as an IT Specialist in 2002 and later worked as a System Administrator and Technical Instructor in 2005. Faisal then became a Co-founder/Technical Consultant/IT Instructor for a period of three years. From 2008 to 2010, Faisal served as a Technical Lead for various projects in a construction company, where they designed and implemented complex voice, network, security, and management solutions. Faisal also acted as a Lead Design and Implementation Engineer for several high-profile projects. In 2010, Faisal joined Jeraisy Computers and Communications Services as a Datacenter Architect, where they designed and managed virtual data centers and implemented disaster recovery solutions. In 2013, they moved to Ebttikar as a Cloud and Data Center Architect, responsible for designing private cloud solutions and architecting DR and secondary data centers. Faisal then joined Maham Al-Khaleej Co. Ltd. (MATCO) in 2014 as a Technical Lead, leading the datacenter and cloud implementation team. Faisal played a key role in architecting technical cloud solutions, designing and implementing private cloud solutions for enterprise customers, and implementing first Cisco UCS cloud implementation in the GCC region. Finally, Faisal is currently working at Solutions by STC as a Principal Cloud Architect, where they oversee cloud architecture and leads cloud engineering teams.

Faisal Abdul Gaffoor completed their Master of Science in Electronics from Mahatma Gandhi University from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Electronics from the University of Kerala from 1999 to 2002. Faisal has also obtained multiple certifications in various cloud computing and networking fields from institutions such as Alibaba Cloud, VMware, Google, Juniper Networks, Amazon Web Services, and Nokia.
