Marie-Paule Laurent

Marie-Paule Laurent is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategic risk management and academia. Currently serving as a Board Member at Solvay Lifelong Learning and the Head of Strategic Risk Management and Modelling at Belfius, Laurent has held significant roles in the risk management sector. At Université libre de Bruxelles, Laurent has been a professor since 2005, contributing to the education of future professionals in financial risk management. Previously, Laurent was the Managing Partner at Risk Dynamics, part of McKinsey & Company, where services focused on risk assessment for financial institutions. Additionally, Laurent owned FinLM from 2005 to 2016. Laurent holds a PhD in Financial Risk Management from Université libre de Bruxelles.
