Georges Houtappel

Georges Houtappel has extensive work experience in various industries and roles. Georges is currently the Global Head of Transportation Business at Syensqo, starting in December 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Solvay where they held multiple roles including Global Head of Automotive Business, Head of Fluorinated Elastomers and Plastomers Business, and Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. Georges also has experience at Solvay Group as the Vice President of Global Head Commercial Excellence. Before joining Solvay, they worked at McKinsey & Company as a Senior Engagement Manager and at Siemens as a Project Manager and Commissioning Manager. Georges started their career with an internship at CERN in Geneva.

Georges Houtappel completed their Master of Science degree in Electrical Power Engineering from KU Leuven in 1998. Georges later pursued an MBA from INSEAD in 2005-2006.
