Mark van Bijsterveld

Mark van Bijsterveld currently serves as Chief People Officer and a member of the Executive Committee at Solvay, overseeing Human Resources, Communications, and Government & Public Affairs since July 2023. Prior to this role, Mark held various senior leadership positions, including Chief HR Officer at Signify and SVP of Global HR Services at Philips Lighting. Additionally, Mark founded vanBijsterveld Consulting in early 2023 and contributed as an Executive Business Advisor at Radboud University, where a key focus was on aligning business administration programs with job market needs. With a robust background in HR management and strategy, Mark’s career spans roles at Microsoft, Orange, and Deloitte & Touche Bakkenist, complemented by an extensive academic foundation with a PhD in Business Administration from Radboud University and degrees in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and Psychology from Leiden University.
