Carol Ann Ruiz, AIA, is an accomplished architect with extensive experience in notable firms, currently serving as Associate Principal at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill since January 2016. Ruiz is actively involved in the ongoing construction of the LACMA Building for the Permanent Collection in Los Angeles and previously worked on significant projects including the rooftop addition and interior renovation for The DALTON School and the new science building at The HORACE MANN School. Prior to SOM, Ruiz held the role of Architect at Renzo Piano Building Workshop, contributing as Project Architect on major projects such as the Jerome L. Greene Science Center and the University Forum at Columbia University. Educational qualifications include a Master of Architecture from Yale University and a Bachelor of Architecture from the New York Institute of Technology, where Ruiz also taught as an Adjunct Professor.
