Eugene Tan

Eugene Tan, AIA, is an experienced architect currently serving as an Associate at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) since August 2023. Previously, Eugene held the position of Project Lead at Adjaye Associates from October 2021 to July 2023, contributing to the East County Library project in Gresham, OR. Prior to that, Eugene worked at Cooper Robertson as an Architect, where responsibilities included the design and coordination of the Buffalo AKG Art Museum and the Gundlach Building. Additional experience includes roles at Atema Architecture as an Architectural Designer & Project Manager, with contributions to several notable projects, including offices for The Nature Conservancy and Amnesty International. Eugene's early professional background includes positions as a Graduate Teaching Fellow and Teaching Assistant at Yale University, an Architectural Intern with ELEMENTAL in Chile, and various internships during academic studies. Eugene holds a Master of Architecture from Yale University and a Bachelor of Architecture from the National University of Singapore, with ongoing studies at ETH Zürich.
