Celeste Sippel

Celeste Sippel has held a variety of roles across different companies. Celeste began their career in 2006 as a Firefighter at Seaside Fire Department/Carmel Valley Fire Department, where they earned the 2006 Rookie of the Year and both EMT and Top Responder of the Year awards in 2007. Celeste also served as assistant instructor with the MPC Fire Academy from 2007 to 2009. In 2010, they founded the Monterey Bay Derby Dames, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit roller derby league established to build confidence and community for women via sport. In 2012, they became a Business Owner at Dog Training. In 2019, they joined Suncoast Developers Guild as a Full Stack Developer, where their project experience included a Color Picker React web app and a custom React web app with .NET Core backend. Finally, in 2020 they joined SOMA Global as a Software Engineer and later as a Junior Software Engineer.

Celeste Sippel obtained their Web Developer Certification in Full-Stack Web Development from Suncoast Developers Guild between 2019 and 2020. Celeste also earned an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in April 2021.
