Project Scientist at Somaserve

Samantha Sinnadurai has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research.

Samantha is currently working as a Project Scientist at Somaserve since April 2022.

Prior to that, they worked at Illumina as a Technical Application Scientist from September 2021, providing phone and email support to customers and resolving routine and complex issues within specialist workflow.

Samantha also has experience as a PhD student in cancer studies at the University of Leicester, where they analyzed images and scored EMT and translational reprogramming related proteins in lung adenocarcinoma patients.

Samantha was a volunteer intern at The European Cancer Stem Cell Research Institute, where they investigated the apoptosis rate of THP1 cells upon GATA2 inhibition.

Additionally, they worked as a Student Intern at Inserm, creating MDM2 mutants, visualizing intracellular localization, and investigating co-localization of MDM2 mutants and ribosomal proteins upon DNA damage.

Samantha also gained experience as a Student Intern at the University of Surrey, where they analyzed the impact of Norovirus on the protein synthesis of host cells through western blot analysis.

Overall, Samantha Sinnadurai has a strong background in scientific research and has worked in various roles across different organizations.

Samantha Sinnadurai began their education in 2010 at UPEC, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology - Physiology in 2013. Samantha then pursued further studies at UPEC, completing their first year of Master of Science in Biology and Health in 2014, and their second year of Master of Science in Gene Tissue and Cell Biotherapies in 2015. Samantha's educational journey continued at the University of Leicester, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Molecular biology in cancer studies from 2017 to 2021.
