Margaret Skoog MSN, ARNP, AGCNS-BC, CEN has a diverse work experience spanning multiple healthcare organizations. Margaret began their career in 2013 as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Margaret then worked as a Clinical Nurse in Ambulatory Surgery at Penrose Hospital from 2015 to 2016. Margaret then served as an Interim Clinical Nurse Educator and Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Saint Francis Medical Center from 2016 to 2017.

In 2017, they joined the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, where they worked until 2018. Margaret then transitioned to Swedish where they worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Emergency Services from 2018 to 2021.

Starting in 2021, Margaret took on the role of Stay-at-Home Mom until April 2023 when they joined Somatus as a Clinical Content Specialist in Program Development. Throughout their career, Margaret has demonstrated expertise in emergency care, clinical education, and program development.

Margaret Skoog obtained their Bachelor of Science in Nursing with Honors from Michigan State University between the years 2008 and 2012. Margaret then pursued further education at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, where they completed their Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist from 2015 to 2018.

In addition to their education, Margaret Skoog has obtained several certifications. Margaret earned their Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) credential from the BOARD OF CERTIFICATION FOR EMERGENCY NURSING (BCEN®) in May 2020. Margaret also holds additional certifications such as Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association (obtained in December 2022), Pediatric Advanced Life Support from the American Heart Association (obtained in June 2021), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support from the American Heart Association (obtained in January 2021).

Margaret Skoog further demonstrated their dedication to professional development by obtaining the Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist (AGCNS-BC) certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center, achieved in June 2023. Margaret also holds the Trauma Nursing Core Certification from the Emergency Nurses Association (obtained in May 2017) and the Emergency Nursing Pediatric Core Course certification from the Emergency Nurses Association (obtained in March 2017).
