Day Farenga

Day (Deborah) Farenga is an accomplished educational leader with extensive experience in special education. Currently serving as the IEP Team Leader at Somerville Public Schools since August 2021, Farenga previously held roles such as Special Education Coordinator at Melrose MVMMS and Special Education Administrator & Student Support Coordinator at City on a Hill Charter Public Schools. Farenga's career highlights include coordinating eligibility and reevaluation processes, developing specialized programming for students with severe needs, and mentoring staff. With a Master's Degree in Special Education from Lesley University and a background in Economics from Boston College, Farenga brings a strong combination of academic knowledge and practical experience to the field.
