Felipe Martinez

Felipe Martinez has worked in the telecommunications and network engineering industry since 2007. Felipe began their career at UNE epm telecomunicaciones as an Ingeniero NOC, providing support and troubleshooting for telephony IP, NGN platforms, TDM telephony, data networks, and PDH, SDH, and DWDM transmission networks. In 2015, they joined Iquall Networks as an Ingeniero de Advanced Services. Felipe then moved to Senior Network Architect at ATT M\u00e9xico in 2017 and Senior Network Consultant in 2018. In 2021, they joined Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Network Development Engineer, and they currently hold the position of Head of Network Automation at Somos Internet since 2022.

Felipe Martinez's education history includes a degree in Ingeniería de Telecomunicaciones from Universidad Santo Tomás, Medellín Colombia, which they completed between 2002 and 2006. Felipe also completed a degree in Gerente de Proyectos from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana between 2010 and 2011. In addition, Martinez has obtained several certifications from Juniper Networks and Cisco, including Juniper Networks Certified Expert, Service Provider Routing & Switching (JNCIE-SP), Juniper Networks Certified Professional, Enterprise Routing & Switching (JNCIP-ENT), Juniper Networks Certified Specialist, Security (JNCIS-SEC), JNCI, Juniper Networks Certified Professional, Service Provider Routing & Switching (JNCIP-SP), Juniper Networks Certified Associate, Automation and DevOps (JNCIA-DevOps), Cisco Certified Network Professional Routing and Switching (CCNP Routing and Switching), Juniper Networks Certified Professional, Security (JNCIP-SEC), and CCIE R&S (Written).
