Clay Hudson

Clay Hudson is a seasoned insurance professional with extensive experience in the inland marine sector. Currently serving as Vice President at Sompo International since October 2017, Clay has held various roles including Assistant Vice President in the same division. Prior to this, experience includes working as a Senior Underwriter at Markel from May 2013 to October 2017, following Markel's acquisition of Alterra, where Clay was also a Senior Underwriter from May 2010 to May 2013 after the merger of Max Specialty and Harbor Point. Earlier positions include Senior Underwriter at Max Specialty Insurance Co. and roles at Firemans Fund Insurance Company and The Hartford, focusing on marine and property underwriting. Clay Hudson earned a BBA in Finance and Accounting from the Texas McCombs School of Business between 2000 and 2004.
