Vanessa Taibo

Vanessa Taibo MBA is an experienced procurement leader currently serving as the Head of Procurement Non IT Services and Europe at Sompo since September 2025. Prior to this role, Vanessa held multiple positions at Aquanima Grupo Santander from November 2008 to August 2025, including Business Development Director for Europe, where significant achievements included delivering 159% revenue growth and managing procurement services in Spain and Portugal. Other key roles included European Sourcing Director, overseeing a €2bn annual spend and coordinating a team of over 80 professionals, and Head of Sourcing Operations UK, managing a £1bn procurement plan with 12% average annual savings. Vanessa's earlier career includes roles as a Senior Category Manager and Category Manager, along with experience as a Sourcing Consultant and Senior Sourcing Analyst. Vanessa holds an MBA from Cranfield School of Management and a BBA from Universidad Metropolitana (VE).
