William Wingertzahn

William Wingertzahn serves as the Senior Vice President of Group Claims - Strategy & Optimization at Sompo, where responsibilities include oversight of complex coverage litigation and management of North American Claims functions focused on process optimization and operational health. With a track record of leading US Casualty Claims and managing claims for various lines of business in his previous roles, William has extensive experience in the insurance sector. Prior to Sompo, William held key positions at Wilson Elser, where representation of clients in complex litigation took place, and at Boeggeman, George, Hodges & Corde, P.C., overseeing all aspects of defense in civil litigation claims. William began a career in insurance as an Account Representative at Mutual of New York Financial Services. William holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Communication from Fordham University.
