Ryoko Shimokawa

Ryoko Shimokawa currently serves as the Group Chief Sustainability Officer, Senior Vice President, and Executive Officer at Sompo Seguros since August 2021. Prior to this, Ryoko held the position of General Manager of the Healthcare Business Development Department at SOMPO Holdings, Inc. from April 2020 to August 2021. Ryoko's earlier experience includes roles such as Executive Officer and General Manager of Human Resources at Sompo Himawari Life Insurance, Senior Director at McDonald's, Vice President at The Carlyle Group, and Associate at Goldman Sachs. Ryoko holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from The University of Tokyo and completed a venture capital executive program at the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley, in 2017.
