Darryl Newborough

Darryl Newborough began their work experience in 1991 with an apprenticeship at Hepworth Corys, where they gained skills in maintenance, installation electrical work, and fitting. In 2001, they joined Sonardyne International Ltd as a Team Leader and held this position until 2009 when they became the Director of Subsea Product Development. From 2015, they assumed the role of Technical Director at Sonardyne International Ltd. In 2017, they became a Non-Executive Director at Lumasys Inc, and in 2020, they took on the same position at Wavefront Systems Limited.

Darryl Newborough earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Underwater Positioning using Digital Acoustic Comms from Loughborough University between 1996 and 2001. Prior to that, they completed a degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the same institution from 1993 to 1996.
