Olivier Schmitt

Olivier Schmitt is a Principal Engineer at Sonar since April 2021, contributing to the CodeNext team as a research engineer focused on innovative code quality solutions. Olivier designed and implemented the Sonar Grip platform, integrating Sonar Clean Code and GenAI for efficient code fixes across over 100 issue types. Previously, Olivier served as Senior Cloud Platform Engineer at Sonar, where responsibilities included building the Cloud platform engineering team and leading the DDD initiative for SonarCloud. Earlier experience at Sonar includes positions as Data Engineer, where data-driven implementations were initiated, and Cloud Engineer, performing a range of cloud-related tasks. Prior to Sonar, Olivier spent over 15 years at the French Ministry of Agriculture as a Senior Solutions Architect, leading architectural committees and directing the development of various IT solutions. Olivier also has experience as a Technical Lead at Easy Flying, where two SaaS offerings were created under Olivier's leadership.
