Micki Semler is an experienced research lead and social worker with a diverse background in healthcare, humanitarian research, and therapeutic practices. Currently serving as Research Lead in Kenya for Sonder Collective, Micki focuses on understanding health risks and service uptake among mothers and children under five, collaborating with teams funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Previously, Micki led a qualitative research project with Oxfam GB to investigate barriers to reporting misconduct in Myanmar, and worked as a Strategic Designer at ThinkPlace engaged in healthcare analysis in Kenya. With prior experience as a family therapist at CASES and program social worker for justice initiatives in New York City, Micki has a strong commitment to addressing social justice issues, supported by a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University.
