Courtney Dowdy

Courtney Dowdy has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Courtney is currently working as a Logistic Planner at the 75th Innovation Command since August 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Psychotherapist at DialCare from June 2021, providing clinical diagnosis and treatment plans. Before that, they served as a Mental Health Counselor at SonderMind from August 2020, providing therapeutic intervention services. Courtney also has experience working in the military, serving as an Operational Contract Support Officer in the US Army from July 2020 to August 2022, and as a Company Commander in the U.S. Army Reserve 79th QM CO from February 2018 to September 2019. Additionally, they worked as a Licensed Professional Counselor at Jessica Henderson and Associates Counseling Center from September 2018 to December 2019. In 2016, they had the role of a Logistic Specialist Officer at 4th Battalion LOGCAP, managing logistics plans and programs. Courtney also worked as a Behavior Therapist at Steps to Progress LLC from March 2016 to November 2016, providing services using Applied Behavior Analysis for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Prior to that, they were a Community Living Specialist at Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. from September 2014 to November 2016. Courtney started their career as a Chemical Dependency Counselor-Intern at Devereux from August 2013 to February 2016, and also worked as a Direct Care Professional, teaching and documenting patient activities.

Courtney Dowdy completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Jackson State University, attending from 2005 to 2010. Courtney then pursued a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Prairie View A&M University, where they studied from 2013 to 2015. In 2016, they obtained the certification of License Professional Counselor after successfully passing the Texas National Counseling Exam. Most recently, from 2019 to 2021, Courtney attended the University of Wyoming where they received a Certification in Play Therapy.
