Bruce Pollock is a seasoned music journalist and author, currently serving as a columnist for Songfacts since 2012, where the column "They’re Playing My Song" features interviews with songwriters about their most impactful songs. As a staff writer since 2007, Bruce has contributed to notable publications, including "Bob Dylan FAQ" and "The Rock Song Index." Between 2014 and 2015, Bruce served as an adjunct professor at Fairfield University, teaching The History of Rock and Roll. Bruce's extensive experience in the music industry includes roles as a senior A&R producer and record producer at Sony BMG from 1994 to 2006, as well as editorial positions at GUITAR for the Practicing Musician. Bruce holds multiple bachelor's degrees in English, Marketing, and Creative Writing from various institutions, including The City College of New York and Brooklyn College.
