Jeffrey Smith

Jeffrey Smith has a diverse work experience in the field of information security. Jeffrey started their career in 2011 as a Computer Forensics Lab Facilitator II at Central Piedmont Community College. In 2011, they also joined Technology Partners, Inc. as an IT Systems Specialist before moving to Electric Power Research Institute in 2014 as an Information Security Engineer. In 2015, they worked as a Security Engineer (Penetration Tester) at nGuard, Inc. Jeffrey currently holds the position of Director of Information Security at Sonic Automotive, where they have also previously served as Manager of Information Security and Senior Information Security Engineer.

Jeffrey Smith earned a Bachelor's Degree in B.S. Information Technology from East Carolina University in 2017-2019. Prior to that, they completed a Computer Technology program with a focus on Cyber Security at Central Piedmont Community College in 2009-2010. Additionally, Jeffrey has obtained several certifications including Certified Ethical Hacker CEH from EC-Council in 2016, Nexpose Certified Administrator (NCA) and Metasploit Pro Certified Specialist (MPCS) from Rapid7 in 2015, and Access Data Certified Forensic Examiner (ACE) from AccessData in 2012. Jeffrey is also recognized as a Payment Card Industry Professional (PCI-P) by the PCI Security Standards Council.
