Stephen Conrad has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Stephen began their career in 1998 as a Shipping/Receiving Specialist at Metrolina Greenhouses, where they coordinated plant orders for major corporations. From 2003 to 2007, Stephen served as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician in the United States Air Force, providing training and supervision to junior technicians. Following their military service, they worked as a Team Leader for ADVENT Environmental, Inc., clearing unexploded ordnance (UXO) at various defense sites. Stephen then joined USA Environmental as a Team Leader, ensuring the safety of residents and visitors by clearing UXO at a former WW2 defense site. In 2010, they worked as a Quality Control Supervisor, Team Leader, and Safety Officer at Rhea Engineers and Consultants, overseeing environmental and ordnance avoidance projects. Stephen also gained hospitality experience as a Front of House Representative at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company LLC, focusing on customer service and guest relations. In 2014, they transitioned to the e-commerce field, initially joining Belk as an eCommerce Digital Program Manager and later becoming the Director of eCommerce Digital Experience & Site Operations. There, they optimized the user experience, introduced new technologies, and increased revenue per visit and customer satisfaction. Stephen continued their e-commerce career in 2020 as the Vice President of eCommerce for both EchoPark Automotive and Sonic Automotive. In these roles, they built and enhanced the digital experience for customers in the automotive industry.

Stephen Conrad has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from UNC Charlotte Belk College of Business, with concentrations in Business Analytics, IT Management, and Supply Chain Management.

Stephen also has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.), cum laude, in Civil Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Additionally, Stephen Conrad holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Central Piedmont Community College and a High School Diploma from Northside Christian Academy.
