Raghu Metpally

Raghu Metpally is a highly experienced professional in the field of bioinformatics and genomics, currently serving as the Director of Bioinformatics & Lab Operations at Sonic Healthcare USA since January 2021. In this role, Raghu leads bioinformatics initiatives for clinical diagnostics and has expertise in designing and optimizing high-throughput Next Generation Sequencing pipelines. Additionally, Raghu holds the position of Associate (Affiliate) Professor of Biomedical Science at Florida Atlantic University since July 2019, focusing on clinical sequencing and CRISPR/Cas9 screening. Prior experience includes significant roles at Geisinger, Translational Genomics Research Institute, and several academic institutions, with expertise in functional genomics, data analytics, and development of computational genomics pipelines. Raghu completed a PhD in Bioinformatics from Tata Institute of Fundamental Research and holds degrees in Biotechnology and Agricultural Sciences.
