Robert Pennings

Robert Pennings is an accomplished Process Engineer with extensive experience in the electronics manufacturing industry. Currently serving at Sonic Manufacturing Technologies since May 2021 and at Flex since July 2013, Robert has led initiatives in surface mount technology and test technology development. Notable achievements include overseeing the design and utility layout for the AME lab and collaborating on equipment acquisitions for process development. Previously, Robert managed multiple SMT production lines at Quality Circuit Assembly, ensuring zero defects and timely delivery while developing maintenance procedures. Robert also contributed to significant improvements in manufacturing processes at Hospira, leading Lean Manufacturing initiatives that optimized floor space and increased production throughput.
