Usman Yaseen

Usman Yaseen is a Co-Founder and CEO of Sonik Pocket, an educational pocket money application for children. Usman leads a team of six employees, secures funding and raises investments, and networks to secure partnerships. Usman also stays heavily involved in the application development process. Sonik Pocket has received numerous awards and recognition for its innovation and market potential.

Usman is an Unlock Ambition Ambassador for Scottish Enterprise's Unlocking Ambition program. Usman completed four training workshops on entrepreneurship, networking, business development, and mindset. Usman also had the opportunity to visit Silicon Valley and network with high-level businesses.

Usman completed a 12-month intensive business development course with the Royal Society of Edinburgh as an Enterprise Fellow. Usman learned about financial planning, global expansion, marketing, and legals. Usman gained valuable skills and knowledge from their cohorts and mentors during this program.

Before their current roles, Usman worked as a Freelance IT Consultant, designing websites for a range of companies. Usman also gained management and communication skills during their time as an Executive General Manager at Monkey Madness, a children's play area. Usman started their career in the customer service and sales teams at BT and EE, where they developed strong communication and multitasking abilities.

Overall, Usman Yaseen has a diverse background in entrepreneurship, business development, IT consulting, management, and customer service.

Usman Yaseen attended Clydebank High School from 1992 to 1998, where they obtained Standard Grade Qualifications. In 2018, they obtained Enterprise Fellowships certification from the Royal Society of Edinburgh.
