Dr. Normann is the Medical Director of the Lovisenberg Deaconess Foundation and has served as the CEO of several hospitals in the Oslo area including Ullevaal University Hospital, Buskerud Hospital and Akershus University Hospital, in addition to heading The Oslo Municipal Child and Family Services. For three years he worked with the Norwegian Ministry of Health to establish a new financing system for hospitals. Dr. Normann has served as Director of Department of Hospital Services in the Norwegian Directorate of Health, Secretary-General of the Norwegian Air Ambulance Foundation and CEO of the largest private diagnostic imaging service provider, Curato Ltd., in Norway. He was also President of UNICEF Norway and the Nordic Society on Child Abuse and Neglect. Dr. Normann served as President of the International Hospital Federation (IHF) and held several executive positions from 2009 to 2019. Dr. Normann was President of The Norwegian Hospital and Health Service Association (NSH) for 15 years and NSH hosted the 38th IHF World Hospital Congress in Oslo in 2013. He has been President and held other leadership positions with Maridalen Rotary Club and currently serves as Rotary District Governor.
