Axel Thiemann

Axel Thiemann has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Axel was the CEO of Sonnedix, a solar Independent Power Producer (IPP), where they developed, built, owned, and operated solar power plants globally. Prior to that, they served as the EVP Commercial and COO of Sonnedix. Before their time at Sonnedix, Axel worked at Barclays Bank as the Business Development, Design, and Change Director, responsible for strategy, planning, sales process, and operations design. Axel also held the role of Business Development and Delivery Director and COO of Consumer Lending at Barclays Bank. Axel began their career at McKinsey & Company as a Senior Associate, and later worked at Barclays Capital as a Manager of Strategy and Planning.

Axel Thiemann has a diverse education history with a focus on business and engineering. In 1993, they started studying at Leibniz Universität Hannover and completed their Diplom degree in Electrical Engineering in 1999.
