Paola Merati

Paola Merati is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in corporate, M&A, and energy law. As the Head of Legal for Italy at Sonnedix since September 2019, Paola oversees legal operations for a leading solar Independent Power Producer. Prior to this role, Paola served as a Senior Associate at Paul Hastings, advising both Italian and foreign companies on commercial and corporate law, and gained expertise in contract negotiation and M&A transactions. Previous positions include Associate in Litigation and Arbitration at Gianni, Origoni, Grippo & Partners, and experiences as a lawyer trainee and intern in corporate and regulatory law. Paola holds an LLM in International Commercial Law from King's College London and a Bachelor's degree in Law from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.
