Fernando Sanchez

Fernando Sanchez is an accomplished culinary professional currently serving as the Group Head Chef at Sonnel Hospitality since September 2025. Sanchez has extensive experience in the hospitality industry, having held multiple key positions at Solotel, including Executive Chef at Opera Bar & House Canteen and Head Chef at various venues such as Opera Bar, The Clock Hotel, and The Marlborough Hotel from May 2016 to October 2025. Additional experience includes serving as Head Chef at Foys Kirribilli and Executive Chef at Food Society, along with earlier roles as Chef De Partie at Belinda Franks Catering and Royal Randwick Racecourse. Fernando Sanchez holds a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery from TAFE NSW, completed between 2005 and 2007.
