Jan Schiermeister

Jan Schiermeister is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the automotive and technology sectors. Currently serving as Managing Director at Sono Motors GmbH since July 2022, Jan co-leads initiatives focused on integrating solar technology into commercial vehicles to promote sustainability. Previous roles include Head of Technology and Head of Engineering Complete Vehicle at Sono Motors, where Jan oversaw the development of innovative photovoltaic solutions for electric vehicles. Jan's background at MAN Truck & Bus SE spanned from 2005 to 2022, culminating in roles as Head of Engineering MAN INDIVIDUAL Truck and Vice President, where Jan was responsible for engineering, quality, and the realization of customer-specific products. Jan's earlier experiences include positions at Gmeinder Getriebe, Daimler AG, Bosch, and SAP, complemented by a degree in Wirtschaftsingenieur from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and a study period at Politecnico di Milano.
