Fred Engbarth

Fred Engbarth is a seasoned attorney and mediator specializing in labor and employment law, with over 40 years of experience. Currently serving as a Commissioner for the Sonoma County Library, Fred plays a critical role in the library's governing board, promoting community engagement through various services and programs. Fred Engbarth operates an employment law practice that provides legal advice and counseling to small and mid-sized businesses, effectively handling complex workplace disputes, including discrimination claims and wrongful termination. Previously, Fred Engbarth practiced as a sole practitioner and successfully represented over 1,000 clients across both private and public sectors. In addition to a strong legal career, Fred Engbarth held significant roles at Sonoma State University, culminating as Assistant to the President/Judicial Affairs Officer, where responsibilities included personnel management and policy development. Fred Engbarth holds a Juris Doctor from Empire College School of Law and a B.A. in History from UC Irvine.
