Judy K. has extensive experience in advocacy, education, and community service. Currently serving as Long Term Care Ombudsman at Senior Advocacy Services, Judy focuses on protecting residents' rights in long-term care. As a volunteer greeter at Laguna De Santa Rosa and Orenda manager at Orenda International, Judy promotes community detoxification and shares information on environmental toxicity. In their role as Director of Youth Programs at Beth Ami, Judy oversees budgets, staff, and event planning for educational programs for youth. Additional experience includes counseling seniors as a Senior Peer Counselor at West County Community Services, substitute teaching across various age groups, and special education teaching in both Mount Pleasant and Alum Rock School Districts. Judy holds multiple degrees from San Jose State University in Therapeutic Recreation and Special Education.
