Laura Krier

Laura Krier is an accomplished librarian with extensive experience in collection development, metadata management, and library systems. Currently serving as the Interim Associate Dean and Collection Development Librarian at Sonoma State University, Krier leads collection management efforts and oversees the Technical Services department. Previous roles include Principal Metadata Analyst at the California Digital Library and Systems/Metadata Librarian at Whitman College. Krier holds a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from Simmons University and a Bachelor's degree in Literature/Women's Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz. With a strong background in support services and technology implementation, Krier has been instrumental in enhancing resource discovery and improving library operations throughout her career.
