Andrea Anderson, PhD, currently serves as an Air Quality Project Manager and Data Scientist at Sonoma Technology, Inc., focusing on the impacts of wildfire smoke on air chemistry and community exposure to industrial emissions. Previous experience includes doctoral research at the University of California, Irvine, where Andrea evaluated the environmental fates of emerging contaminants under the supervision of Barbara Finlayson-Pitts. An internship at the California Air Resources Board involved analyzing the effects of wildfire smoke on ozone and PM2.5 attainment using ground-level and satellite data. Additional roles include Senior Environmental Development Chemist at Bureau Veritas and multiple positions related to environmental health and safety at AbbVie and Abbott Laboratories. Andrea holds a PhD in Atmospheric Chemistry and a Certificate in Ecosystem Management and Environmental Change from UC Irvine, along with a Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry from Dominican University.
