Michael Mabanglo Ph.D., Lcsw

Michael Mabanglo, PhD, LCSW has extensive work experience in the field of behavioral health and consulting. Michael currently serves as the Director of Integrated Behavioral Health at Sonoma Valley Community Health Center. Prior to this, they worked as a Practice Transformation Coach at Mabanglo Consulting. Michael also held positions at Santa Rosa Community Health, where they served as a Behavioral Health Consultant and later as the Director of Integrated Behavioral Health and Mental Health Services. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Consultant at Health Management Associates and as a Consultant/Practice Coach at Care Integration Partners. Michael has also served as the Director of Behavioral Health and Clinical Director of Behavioral Health at Mendocino Community Health Clinic, Inc. / MCHC Health Centers. Michael started their career as a Clinical Social Worker/Psychotherapist at Ukiah Valley Primary Care Medical Group and later held roles as a Clinical Supervisor and Therapist/Clinical Social Worker at Edgewood Center for Children and Families. Michael also completed a Psychiatric Social Work Doctoral Fellowship at Langley Porter Psychiatric, UCSF.

Michael Mabanglo, PhD, LCSW has a solid educational background in the field of social work and communication studies. Michael obtained a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies from UCLA, graduating in 1987. Following this, they pursued a Masters of Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley and completed the program between 1991 and 1993. Dr. Mabanglo then furthered their education and expertise by completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Clinical Social Work at Smith College from 1996 to 2003.
