Carlos Diaz

Carlos Diaz has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Carlos began their career at Winzler & Kelly as a Civil and Environmental Engineer from July 2006 to October 2011. Carlos then joined GHD as a Civil and Environmental Engineer from October 2011 to June 2012. Carlos worked at Environmental Science Associates as a Senior Associate Engineer/Hydrologist from June 2012 to September 2017, where they contributed to various projects such as coastal and estuarine restoration, river and floodplain restoration, and climate change adaptation. Currently, they are serving as the Deputy Director of Engineering at Sonoma County Water Agency, a position they have held since August 2023. Prior to this role, they were the Principal Engineer at the same agency from August 2020 to August 2023, and before that, they worked as a Water Agency Engineer III from October 2017 to August 2020.

Carlos Diaz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Resources Engineering from Humboldt State University, from 1998 to 2004. Carlos then pursued a Master of Science degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Stanford University, from 2004 to 2006.
