James Griggs, P.E., is an experienced Water Agency Engineer currently holding the position of Water Agency Engineer III at Sonoma County Water Agency since October 2016. Griggs has progressed through various engineering roles, including Water Agency Engineer I and II, where responsibilities encompassed preparing plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects, overseeing subordinate staff, and performing engineering work across multiple facets of water resource management. Prior to this, Griggs worked as an Engineering Technician III and II, gaining advanced technical experience in construction inspection and design. Early career roles included serving as an Operator-in-Training at Ferndale Wastewater Treatment Facility and an internship with Sonoma County Water Agency, where exposure to hydrologic modeling and water supply planning took place. Griggs holds a degree in Environmental Engineering from Humboldt State University.
