Julian Hayball

System Architect at Sonosine

Julian leads on product development, system architectural analysis, and development of medical devices. A University of Cambridge graduate, Julian is both a physicist and an engineer, and also a former Siemens Healthcare engineer with just under 20-years-experience in developing diverse medical imaging systems. This includes pioneering work in PET-CT post-processing. Julian has a background in medical image processing and reconstruction, alongside knowledge of clinical users, the hospital environment, and regulatory procedures.

He has been developing the EMA technology since 2016 and has completed a re-implementation of the system onto new platforms. He has also developed the specification for the commercial version of the system and the necessary regulatory approvals.
