Mark Moorcroft has over 20 years of experience in software engineering and consulting. Mark currently works as a Senior Software Engineer at Sonrai Security since 2018. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2018, they served as a Senior Consultant at Mariner Partners Inc., where they worked on the development of the xVu Product, a real-time monitoring system for network devices. Mark also contributed to the development of xVu integrations for customer environments. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Senior Consultant at Mariner Innovations Inc., contracted to work for the security division of IBM Canada on the development of application extensions for QRadar, focusing on User Behaviour Analytics to detect insider threats. Before that, they worked as a Consultant at CGI from 1999 to 2005, where they participated in the development of messaging systems, order management systems for the steel mill industry, and web toolkits for local governments. Mark also worked as a Consultant at MCM Technologies from 1997 to 1999, where they were responsible for the development of an IVR product for BlueCross. Mark also has experience as a Software Engineer at Digital Products Limited, where they worked on the design and development of a web-based remote monitoring service using wireless data communication technology. Mark began their career as a Software Engineer at the Fire Science Centre, University of New Brunswick, where they worked on scientific applications and the development of a Laser Doppler Velocity system.
Mark Moorcroft attended the University of New Brunswick from 1991 to 1996, where they obtained a Bsc. EE degree. Prior to that, they attended Woodstock High, although the specific dates and degree details are unknown.
